Dolphin Cottage lies on the edge of the conservation village of Freshford, about 5 miles from Bath in the southern area of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage dates from the 17th century with the original beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace in the sitting room and has been totally renovated to very high standards.

It offers top quality accommodation for non-smoking guests choosing the independence of a self- catering holiday with its own private garden and on-site parking. There are three bedrooms, sleeping between one and five people. The luxury eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and the garden, which faces south west, has its own terrace, garden furniture and barbeque. The cottage is furnished with a mixture of antiques and modern designer furniture. The cleanliness and high quality of the cottage are commented on each year at the annual quality assessment by the VisitBritain inspectors and it has consistently been awarded the highest quality grading. The cottage is fully WIFI enabled.

Children of all ages are welcome at the cottage but unfortunately no pets are allowed.
The footpaths and lanes which cross the village and the neighbouring parishes offer beautiful walking. Pony trekking is available locally and boating on the nearby Avon and Somerset canal. Freshford has both a bus service and train service to Bath so parking and traffic problems in the city do not have to be contemplated! Nearby attractions are the Saxon town of Bradford on Avon, the National Trust properties at Stourhead and Dyrham and many visitors with children spend time at Longleat.

Short breaks are available in the winter months and out of the high season, reduced rental prices are offered for 2 or 3 person occupation of the cottage.

Rental charge fully inclusive of all electricity, heating, hot water, linen and towels from £390 to £850 per week dependent on season and number of occupants.
