We have endless National Trust Properties, Great Chalfield Manor, The Courts at Holt and Lacock Abbey (famed for the filming of Pride and Prejudice) and Westwood Manor are all within a 20 minute drive. We are very fortunate to be on the edge of The Cotswolds with it beautiful rolling countryside equally so in the opposite direction is Salisbury, Longleat, Glastonbury, Street (famed for Clarks Shoes) and Wells with it's magnificent Cathedral.
Visit Caen Hill locks at Devizes with it's straight line of 16 locks and look out for the drays delivering the Wadsworth beer around the town and then onwards to Avebury or Marlborough and into the next county of Berkshire via Savernake Forest visiting the lovely town of Hungerford.
If you like to walk or cycle the Kennet and Avon Canal is truly beautiful heading either towards Bath or Devizes not forgetting to visit Avoncliffe with it aqueduct or Dundas.
