Comfortable country cottage, dating back to the 18th century, is situated on the edge of a large common, offering bed and breakfast accommodation near Bath in Wiltshire. One room is double en-suite with Queen size bed, bath and shower. The other room is twin bedded with its own private shower room facilities. Both bedrooms are equipped with FreeView Digital TVs clock radio alarms and WiFi is available FREE for those with the technology. Our home is situated on a no-through road in an area of complete peace and tranquility, coupled with our hospitality and comfortable surroundings - this is a home from home. Broughton Gifford is an ideal base for visiting nearby places of interest as we are close to Lacock, Bradford on Avon and Melksham. We are within 20-25 minutes' drive from Bath (12 minutes to the city limits!). There are many National Trust properties around, including Avebury, Dyrham Park, Great Chalford, The Court Gardens, Stourhead and Stonehenge Downs. Other places of interest are Longleat, the White Horses, Kennet and Avon Canal (with its flight of 29 locks at Devizes), crop circles and many other stately homes and gardens. Our village of 700 souls boasts two pubs with restaurants, a very large common, two churches and the peace and quiet has to be experiencd to be believed.
