Number One Royal Crescent

Number One was the first house to be built in the Royal Crescent, John Wood's masterpiece of Palladian design. The magnificently restored and authentically furnished town house creates a wonderful picture of fashionable life in 18th century Bath, including a superbly appointed dining room, elegant drawing room, a deliciously feminine bedroom and bustling Georgian kitchen.

Last admission half an hour before closing. Closed Good Friday and Monday, open Bank Holidays.

Road Directions

From City Centre to No.1 Royal Crescent >From the Abbey and Roman Baths, walk up Union Street into Old Bond Street, continuing into Milsom Street and at the top turn left into George Street, proceed along and turn right into Gay Street. Upon entering the Circus exit left into Brock Street and the Royal Crescent will be found at the end of the street in front of you. No.1 is the first house as you enter the Royal Crescent.
