Descend under the glass 'sea'; step back in time in the Dockyard Museum; see, hear, touch and smell what life was like for Victorian passengers and crew on board Brunel’s ss Great Britain this autumn.
There is plenty to do to keep the family entertained at the multi award-winning attraction over the break!
Meet the Victorian surgeon, with his giant leech Archibald, for a Victorian diagnosis of your ailments (October 25 & 26); talk to Mr Brunel about his daring designs (October 25 to November 4 – except October 29); make a rat in the ‘Catsheads! Rats’ tales!’ workshops (October 25, 27 & 30); or discover the ‘Gruesome Great Britain’ children’s trail (October 25 to November 4).
Get spooky this Halloween and join the absolutely fabulous ‘Fashion Victims’ (October 31) – part of the Big Draw. Families can design and make clothes for life-sized Victorian cut outs of long-dead passengers and crew. You could even spot a friendly ghost or two, if recent reports in the media are to be believed!
With tickets giving FREE unlimited return visits for a year, and events included in admission, Brunel’s ss Great Britain is excellent value for money!
