See the Museums and Galleries come alive at night!

Victoria Art Gallery, by Pulteney Bridge, 5.30 – 8.00pm
Start off the evening with a live jazz band. Then enjoy drawing an imaginary city linked to our current exhibition ‘Bath As It Might Have Been’.
Sally Lunn’s Kitchen, North Parade Passage, open till 8.00pm
See the original kitchen as Sally Lunn used it over 300 years ago...
No 1 Royal Crescent, Royal Crescent, 5.30 – 8.30pm
An evening of Georgian entertainment, including music, dancing, embroidery, demonstrations and the chance to meet a former Royal occupant of No 1!
Bath Postal Museum, Northgate Street, 5.30 – 9.00pm
Telling the story of 4000 years of communication, including ‘What have the Victorians done for us?’ an exhibition of Victorian inventions that transformed communications around the world.
Fashion Museum, Assembly Rooms, 6.00 – 9.00pm (last entry 8.00pm)
Enjoy the Aardman animation ‘Wrong Trousers’ and wear the wrong trousers to our museum. Repeat showings of the film every 30 minutes. This Museums and Galleries Month event is possible thanks to Aardman, the BBC and 2entertain.
Roman Baths, Stall St, 8.00 – 10.00pm (last entry 9.00)
Meet the Romans of Aquae Sulis and enjoy an evening of theatre around the site. There will be refreshments on sale by the Great Bath.
Museum of Bath at Work, Julian Road, 5.30 – 10.00pm
Come and hear the first public performance of Battery, a radiophonic collage by Darren Giddings, who has used objects from the museum to create an incredible soundscape. You’ll hear the Griffin Six-Stroke Gas Engine and plenty of other museum exhibits like you’ve never heard them before!
Holburne Museum of Art, Gt Pulteney Street, 6.30 – 10.30pm
It was a dark, dark night ... explore some mysterious museum objects in the Gardener’s Lodge and hear their sensational stories! All ages, drop in.
American Museum in Bath, Queen Square, 6.00 – 8.00pm
Have a toe-tapping time with the Applejacks Dance Troupe as the Museum brings a taste of an American Saturday night right to the heart of Bath, complete with BBQ and a choir if the weather is just fine...
Museum of East Asian Art, Bennett Street, 6.30 – 10.00pm
Choose tonight to learn Mandarin! Mandarin in Bath are running a series of 20 minute taster sessions during the evening, so you can call in anytime and get started.
Herschel Museum of Astronomy, New King Street, 6.00 – 10.00pm
Watch the skies at night from this beautifully preserved Georgian house – the home of William and Caroline Herschel. With a bit of luck, you might be able to discover a new planet yourself…
